MISSING

I've been lacking inspiration lately and
I want it back.

It looks like fireworks, feels like dancing, sounds like singing, smells like cookies baking and tastes like om nom.

If found, please call 555-HIGH-LEVEL-OF-EPICITY.

REWARD: My heart will soar.

It's a strange sensation,

digging back into that experience.

The one that was secret.
The one that was your silent struggle.
And now I speak out loud;
I speak to help another who is in the dark valley.

I never knew what good would come,
if anything good could come from this part of the past;

reaching out; it's what it's about.

It feels like a lost cause

when people say "you need to be informed about politics so you can have an opinion and vote."

How am I supposed to stay informed when I am perpetually busy and when all the different media sources sway to one side or the other?

And who knows all the secrets that are hidden from us?

I just can't trust that I could ever know enough to make an educated choice.

Ugh.

Being let down hurts.

Especially when it is by someone who you have looked up to for years.
For some of the most important things.

Inspired. Taught. Challenged. Encouraged. Mentored.

To shatter?
Fall to the wayside and forget the words you speak?
The ones you love?

Priorities?

Broken.

Though my heart aches for what has been done, nothing is unforgivable. Dignity should be dropped; coming clean is vital. Mercy lives on. Your home may not accept again, but I will understand. I want to help mend the pieces.

Some people mean more to you than they'll ever know.
Whatever they do.
Wherever they go.

And I don't have time

to maintain these regrets when I think about
the way

that He loves us.

Move forward
push bounds
follow the inner tugging of your heart.
Life is short.
Life is too planned. Let me live and give for your glory.

Amen.

From time to time

a guy will say something or act in a certain way that will make my day.

It doesn't have to be a specific guy
or any specific thing.

It may be a compliment, a hug, teasing with warm intentions, a surprise, a joke, a consideration.

Sometimes it just makes a girl feel lovely. Feel loved.

It gives hope that there are good guys out there.
That there are good guys here.
Not all men are dogs, ladies.

I know
because I am surrounded by gentlemen
who can light up my day.

Thank you :)
